Candidate Biography

Raised on Inland Empire Values

Greg Abdouch has called San Bernardino County home for over 45 years. Raised in a faith-filled, close-knit family in Apple Valley, California, he was instilled from a young age with a deep respect for hard work, family unity, and service to others.

Growing up in the high desert, Greg learned that the American Dream is not handed to you—it is built. Guided by his faith, Greg's commitment to the community extends into his active involvement in local church leadership, supporting families through faith and fellowship. Those foundational values formed the bedrock of the candidate, small businessman, father of two daughters, and community advocate he is today.

A Life-Defining Choice

Family First: The Baseball Story

In his youth, Greg was an exceptional student-athlete and a top baseball prospect with college athletic opportunities within reach. However, when his family faced severe financial hardship, Greg was presented with a defining crossroad: pursue his personal dream of collegiate sports or enter the workforce immediately to support his parents.

Without hesitation, Greg chose family. He put his baseball glove aside, rolled up his sleeves, and began working full-time. This early sacrifice cemented his belief that true character is built on duty, responsibility, and stepping up when those you love depend on you.

Overcoming the Odds

Grit & Resilience: A Near-Death Accident

Years later, Greg faced another monumental test. A near-death industrial accident left him with severe injuries, threatening his leg and his long-term mobility. Doctors delivered a grim diagnosis: he might never walk normally again.

Refusing to accept a limited future, Greg channeled the work ethic of his youth into physical rehabilitation. Through sheer grit, faith, and relentless effort, he defied the medical predictions. Not only did he recover full mobility, but he went on to run full marathons and complete grueling Spartan races. This journey taught Greg that no obstacle is insurmountable when backed by absolute resolve.

Business Background

30+ Years of Private Enterprise

Greg understands that small businesses are the heartbeat of the Inland Empire. With over 30 years of hands-on experience in sales, contract management, and entrepreneurship, Greg has navigated the same tough regulations, high taxes, and state mandates that face local business owners every day.

Specifically, Greg spent 16 years operating a successful construction business. He knows what it means to sign the front of a paycheck, manage a balance sheet, hire local workers, and deliver project completions under budget. He is running to bring this real-world business common sense straight to Sacramento.

Parental Advocacy

Leading the Parent Coalition

As a father of two daughters, Greg believes that children are our future, and parents deserve a final voice in their children's education and well-being. Recognizing a growing disconnect between public school boards and local families, Greg founded **Not On Our Watch (NOOW)**.

Under his leadership, this advocacy group grew into a formidable parent coalition across the Inland Empire, championing school board transparency, parental notification policies, and academic focus in the classroom. Greg has stood in the gap for families on school boards, in public hearings, and at the State Capitol.

Campaign Platform

Why Greg is Running for State Assembly

Sacramento is broken. Working families are squeezed by sky-high costs of gas and groceries, crime is rising, and state mandates continue to bypass local parent oversight. Greg is stepping up to lead because he believes District 45 deserves a fighter who cannot be bought, who stands strictly for the constitution, and who brings common-sense solutions back to government.

Affordability

Fighting to lower costs for housing, gas, and everyday essentials by stopping wasteful state spending and lowering business regulations.

Public Safety

Supporting local law enforcement, increasing penalties for repeat and violent offenders, and keeping Inland Empire neighborhoods safe.

Parental Rights

Restoring parent notifications in public schools, increasing transparency, and putting parents in charge of their kids' education.

Help Us Bring Common Sense Back to California

Greg has spent his life putting family first, building local businesses, and standing in the gap for our children. But he cannot do this alone. This campaign is a grassroots movement of Inland Empire neighbors who refuse to sit on the sidelines. Together, we can restore California's future.
